Exclusive releasing of Borderlands 3 PC on the Epic Store in September

The most hyped game Borderlands 3 will release September 13 on the Store of Epic Games, which will be the only place to purchase it on PC until the month of April in the year 2020. After that six month exclusivity period, it will get the release on additional PC digital storefronts, according to a latest and new press release from 2K.

Our mission, in addition to delivering the most captivating and engaging entertainment experiences, is to embrace brand new distribution platforms that will contribute to our effort to grow a lot of audience for the game Borderlands 3, said the President of 2K David Ismailer through the latest press release.

Ismailer did not elaborate on how the Epic Store will grow the audience of Borderlands game, but Epic store gave some relevant several numbers back at GDC, where it announced that the store has accrued around 85 million registered users. 40 percent of those users do not have Steam installed on their PC, according to surveying of Epic (which surprised us until we thought about how Fortnite Battle Royale was one of our nephew’s very first games).

Top PC gamers are not a monolithic group, and this particular move by 2K (and by extension Take-Two) signals a lot of confidence that Epic store can cater to a healthy segment of top-notch players.

Epic Store exclusivity was rumored earlier in this week of March, which the CEO of Gearbox Randy Pitchford had a very few things to say about.

2K or Take-Two has exclusive publishing rights for the hyped game Borderlands 3 and makes all of the decisions regarding territories, distribution, price-points, and platform partnerships, he tweeted. Please direct all of the inquiries regarding any of those popular topics to 2K.

Pitchford followed up by saying that, to him, exclusives are absolutely fine when they come with several advantages and when they are short—say, six months. (Hint for all of you)

He also expressed quite an appreciation for the leadership of Epic with cross-platform support.

Loyalists of Steam may want to look away, but for everyone else out there, Gearbox will be live-streaming the reveal of extended gameplay on May 1. There is a brand new and latest gameplay trailer video on the official website of Borderlands or on the youtube channel of Borderlands, too, and head over here for more information and details on the four editions of Borderlands 3.

The standard version of the game Borderlands 3 will cost about $60, but that is one of four tiers that unlock cosmetic packs and the various types of Toy guns.

The mid-tier $80 pack includes.

The $100-$120 mega edition unlocks a weapon skin of Butt Stallion, weapon trinket, and grenade mod. That includes a mega season pack featuring four campaign packs of DLC made up of missions, new stories, and several challenges.

The ultimate edition of $250 includes a bunch of physical loot boxes, including Borderlands figurines, a cloth map, a Sanctuary 3 ship model, and a lot more. See the full details on the post of the official website of Borderlands detailing every edition of Borderlands 3.
